Whatever It Takes

One of the most awe-inspiring things about being a photo assistant here at Saberin Photography is seeing all of the hard work and raw talent that goes into every single shoot we do. As the photo assistant, my jobs vary from day to day, shoot to shoot. Sometimes I'll be needed to move lights around, act as an additional stand for off camera flash, hold an umbrella, gather props and wardrobes, and just generally assist in any way possible.

In the midst of the craziness and energy that comes from shooting, sometimes I like to step back and just observe what is going on. Its in these times that I like to capture the little, behind the scenes moments that almost no one will ever see. The times where, when scouting a location, Stephen hops up on the top rail overlooking the stream and precariously balances on the edge to shoot the woods on the other side. Or the time when we have a model in a fancy dress in our studio and he climbs to the top of a 10 foot ladder, juggling the camera with an 80-200 lens, to get that perfect angle and perfect shot.

We have a saying here that defines us as a company: “Whatever it takes”. The images we capture of all the behind the scenes outlandishness definitely prove that no matter what it takes, we will make it happen.

Our New Studio

Before construction started
Saberin Photography opened it's doors to the public on March 1st 2011. Since that time we've had the opportunity to shoot a myriad of genres including weddings, events, family portraits, modeling, pageant, sports, commercial, stock and even food photography. It's our goal to get the perfect shot, no matter what we're shooting, no mater what it takes.

Under construction
In order to grow our abilities and serve our clients we decided to expand our studio and create a 1,200 square foot space designed for one thing in mind, photos. So on September 20, 2012, we started constructing an empty warehouse space into what is now our photography studio. Moving from our small office into a custom-designed studio with over 1,200 square feet of space was going to be a welcomed change!

Our first delivery
Supplies started arriving at our doorstep early Thursday morning and construction commenced the following morning. In only 7 short days the "warehouse" was transformed into a real, working studio complete with heating and air conditioning, electric and acoustic ceiling to dampen the sound.

We ended up wiring the lights and painting the area ourselves, recruiting anyone who would wield a brush with white paint, (this included my Nieces)! Wiring the lights took less than a day however, painting the space took us over 3 days of back-breaking work.

On October 1st we officially moved into our studio. So stop in and say hello, we'd love to see you.
